What are Neuromodulators?

Neuromodulators are FDA-approved injectables made from botulinum toxin type A that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. Who is a Candidate?

Ideal candidates for neuromodulators are adults in good overall health who want to smooth lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active skin infections should postpone treatment. During your consultation, your provider will review your medical history and help determine if Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify is right for you.

What to Expect

Neuromodulator treatments are quick and simple. Your provider will disinfect the treatment area, mark precise injection points, and administer the chosen product into specific facial muscles using a fine needle. Most appointments take 20 to 30 minutes and involve little to no discomfort.

Recovery and Results

There is minimal downtime after treatment. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a few hours. Avoid lying down, rubbing the area, or exercising for the first 24 hours. Your provider will review detailed aftercare instructions with you during your visit.
Results typically begin to appear within several days and continue to improve over one to two weeks. Most patients enjoy smoother, more youthful skin for about three to four months, while results with Daxxify may last longer. Routine maintenance treatments are recommended to preserve your results year-round
