What is BBL HEROic?
BBL HEROic by Sciton is the most advanced version of BBL (broadband light) therapy. It uses Intelligent Control™ software and a Skin Positioning System™ for faster, more precise, and more comfortable treatments that improve your skin tone, texture, and elasticity. This treatment can target a wide variety of concerns, including sun damage, age spots, redness, fine lines, wrinkles, unwanted veins, sagging skin, and even active acne. It can also be used for unwanted hair reduction.
During treatment, direct pulses of light energy gently heat the skin, breaking down pigment and stimulating collagen production for a smoother, more even complexion. BBL HEROic can be performed on multiple areas, including the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and abdomen.
Who is a Candidate?
BBL HEROic is a highly versatile treatment suitable for a wide range of skin types and goals. At SkinCeuticals SkinLab by Maffi, we recommend scheduling a consultation so our team can determine if it’s the best fit for you. Ideal candidates are in good overall health, have realistic expectations, are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have active skin infections.
Because BBL HEROic settings are customized to your skin type and tone, your provider will evaluate your Fitzpatrick classification during consultation to ensure safe and effective results.

What to Expect
Your BBL HEROic experience at SkinCeuticals SkinLab by Maffi is designed to be both effective and comfortable. To begin, your provider will cleanse the skin and, if necessary, apply a topical anesthetic. Protective eyewear will also be provided.
The BBL HEROic handpiece will then be applied to the skin in smooth, even motions. Treatment time depends on the size of the area and your skin concerns, but a full-face session typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes, with larger areas requiring more time.

After treatment, you may experience mild redness or warmth in the treated areas, which usually subsides within an hour. As your skin heals, gently cleanse and moisturize, apply sunscreen daily, and avoid strenuous activity, heat, and sun exposure.
Some results may appear immediately, with continued improvement over one to two weeks as the skin renews. With proper care, your smoother, brighter complexion can last for several months to a year. Maintenance sessions may be recommended to preserve your results.
